Different Place, Different Time

As I look out across the pond, the serenity of the day could not be explain. The ducks knew this as they swam across to meet each other, dipping their heads underneath the calming waters. The sun beamed down on my face as my camera clicked; I got the shot. I strolled the path with my husband in tow, trying not to concentrate on the excruciating pain that was in my back and hips. The pain that makes you want to stop and give up on life, the type of pain that makes you wish you had not gotten out of bed, the type of pain that makes you cry out “Abba, Abba”, the type of pain…….well I think you know what type of pain I am talking about. God did not pick up a cross just to get spat on, stoned, get beaten, get flesh ripped from his body just for me to roll over and give up; so I won’t.

I will get out that bed everyday, even if it’s later on some days than others, I will continue to pray to the highest of the highest, King of Kings, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus is a healer, if he did it before he can do it again, if he worked miracles before, he is still doing the same we just have to open up and let him in. We are in a different place and different time; but my God still works, therefore I shall serve no other God and my serenity can not be explained.
